What an amazing way to kick-off 2010: 575 salvations at our Celebration services. This is a testimony to the great spiritual expectation the world has. We are going to meet that expectation in 2010.
I believe to start off this great year we need to go back to basics, back to what you believe, back to strengthening your core. God is more concerned with who you are becoming than with what you are going to do. God is all about your core beliefs and values.
Matt 12:33 says that not only does our core value determine the quality of our fruit, it also says that we can change our core values to change our fruit eg. ‘Make the tree good and the fruit will be good’. I want you to focus on establishing those core faith values once again this year. You have the ability to change your current situation by changing your core beliefs. When you confess, “Good things are heading my way” don’t just say it; believe it!
“As a man thinks so is he” Prov 23:7
You can make 2010 an awesome year by the way that you think. Don’t go into 2010 with the mindset of 2009, do it differently. God is your partner and if you make this your core value there is no limit to what God will do in 2010 in your life.
God is hastening us to expand this vision this year. We are excited about launching CRC Midrand and Potchefstroom in February. There are still many more ventures that God has in store for this church this year.

I have spent a great deal of time, during the last few weeks on the vast subject of God’s grace. The crux of the matter is that if you truly walk in and understand God’s love and His grace - you will be convinced that he died for all. It is this love of Christ that compels us to share the gospel with the world. I am amazed by the fact that God has entrusted us with the message of his glorious gospel!
God is great! 2009 has been a phenomenal year and I’d like to thank everybody involved. All the wonderful musicians, each ministry, every person involved, cell leaders and all the cheerful givers in the church – thank God for you! You are truly making a difference in your world! Thank you for your support and commitment to this vision. We saw many first time decisions made in Bloemfontein and Pretoria this weekend and I want to encourage you to continue believing God, with me, for many greater things during this festive season.
The promise that God gave me for this year: You will crown this year with your goodness, your paths will drip with abundance. I want to inspire you with hope, one touch of God’s favor will change your entire life. Although 2009 is drawing to an end, God’s word still says in Jeremiah 29:11 that God’s plans are to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a great future. Don’t go out and end this year deflated, remember that God watches over His Word to perform it in our lives. Believe and declare: Surely Goodness and Mercy shall follow me all the days of my life! The psalmist said: I will extol you God, I will praise you, in the midnight hour I will praise you. Seven times a day I will praise you. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil, I’ll keep saying: God you are good and your mercy endures for ever. Goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life! I want to encourage you, let God have the final say to your 2009!
For those who are going away during this time of celebration: have a great holiday, stay close to Him and be safe. May you experience God’s presence and grace everyday. I am looking forward to a great start to 2010 as we prepare for the launch of CRC Midrand, Potchefstroom and Pietermaritzburg. Together we will do more!!
