God Gives Vision PDF Print E-mail
Habakkuk 2 says that God has appointed a vision for every one of us. That vision has been given to be accomplished. It contains no maybe's or if's. The only condition is that you should believe: God can do all things. What you see is where you will go. You are like an athlete who shouldn't look at anything else but the finish-line. Taking your focus off of the finish-line (the vision) can cost you the race.

As the holidays and the World Cup come to an end, take time to re-focus on the vision of God for your life. We as a church have been given a vision from God. We need every one of our members to live in that vision for it to be fully complete. Spend time making big plans to advance this vision like never before. Let us plan to make the last semester of this year great. Let us do great things for God.

We saw many people getting saved this past week in our services. We saw close to 200 salvations even though we are currently in the heart of the holidays. Praise God for the harvest that we continuously see.

A major strategic part of our vision is our building in Pretoria. We believe that this semester we will make a phenomenal advance in the finances necessary for the building. Even as a spin-off of this project we will build the second auditorium in Bloemfontein and upgrade our facilities. God is always more than enough.

Obviously for this to happen, great finance will be released to our faithful members. Nyretta and I believe that the latter half of this year will be a time of great financial blessing. Thank you to every one of you who so faithfully support us. Without you it truly is impossible to build this house.

Enjoy the remaining part of the holidays and spend time with your family. Remember our families are the most important people in our lives. Love your wife, respect your husband, bless your kids and honour your parents because that is what God wants for you.

Be Blessed,

Is there not a blessing for me? PDF Print E-mail

The cry of too many people today is where is my blessing? Where is the affirmation that my father should have given to me? We see it too often how young men become abusive because of this deep rooted insecurity. An insecurity cultivated by a generation of older men and women that failed to affirm and make these young people feel accepted. The greatest need of any human being is to be affirmed and to feel accepted.

How evident hasn’t it been in recent events? Look at the young insecure men wanting to be revolutionaries and inciting violent acts because of the failure of their elders to affirm them. It is our responsibility to continuously empower and lead the next generation into their inheritance. Every one of us is born a parent to the coming generation. If we fail to love them and give them the affirmation they need, we will create a generation of angry individuals.

1Pe 4:8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

When we display a deep-felt love for the young generation we enable them to overcome sin and challenges in their lives. The way we bless them is by the leadership and love that we provide them. Older people that display this kind of attitude towards younger people provide a platform to produce a secure and well-adjusted up-coming generation. Let us work together to reach these young people and ensure their inheritance for the future of this country.

We had great services on Sunday. We again saw hundreds of people getting saved. Our Sunday evening services were extremely full. There were almost 7000 people in our evening services alone, even though many of the young people have left after their exams. We are in dire need of expansion of our facilities.

In Bloemfontein we have now put in an offer for a piece of land in the northern suburbs. We are looking into building an easily accessible auditorium there. We are also looking into leasing a venue close to or on one of the university campuses. God’s Kingdom is continually expanding we need to make place for the great harvest that God is bringing in.

The Pretoria building project is also still going strong. We have to date raised close to R20 million for it. However, we still have a long path to walk and we are standing in faith that every bit of finance for this is being released to our faithful givers in the church. We are building something of significance for the Kingdom of God. We are a church of influence. Let us expand our reach in Jesus Name!

We are excited about the 2010 World Cup. I know this can again be an event that unites every South African. God will use these next five weeks to start something fresh and new in this country. Let’s stand in unity and support this beautiful nation and its team. Let’s dispel every fear and show the world just how amazing we are as a country. As a church we should pray together to see this event allow God to reach this nation more drastically than ever before!

Nkosi sikelel’ iAfrika! God Bless Africa!
