God has called this church to influence not only this generation, but the many generations to come. Sometimes Christians can be so caught up with their own lives that they forget why God has called them! Look at your workplace, your class, your hostel. How many people are bad-mouthing each other? How many people are speaking critically about the country? Are you a part of it? Or are you standing up for what is right and true!
In Matthew 5 Jesus calls us the salt of the Earth. People should never wonder if we are Christians, it should permeate through our entire being. Christians don’t go with the flow: we swim upstream. We don’t sing unjust political songs because our political party tells us to. We should rather sing songs of praises to God. We should sing our national anthem, “Nkosi Sikelel’ iAfrica” (God Bless Africa).
There is spiritual turmoil manifesting itself in the natural arena. There is a beckoning of the Holy Spirit towards Christians to make a stand against injustice. Don’t just stand around hoping for better days; make a stand in your world. Joel 3:9-10 says that it is time for men and women of God to use what they have and wage war on evil. We have God on our side, what is too difficult for us? Let’s make our mark on this country. There are too many people in the “Valley of Decision”, Joel 3:14. These people should be drawn to the sound of our stand for Jesus in our every day lives.
Our stand is vital. Generations not yet born are still to be influenced. The building of this awesome auditorium in Pretoria is a vital part of this stand. People will be influenced for generations to come by our infiltration in this city. We must win this young generation because tomorrow they will be the decision makers of this country. We shouldn’t only criticize a young radical leader speaking up, but we should ask ourselves, “Why didn’t a Christian reach out to him as a youth?” This is why we expand. This is why we must build new churches that will draw thousands of people.
Thank you to everyone that has pledged for the Pretoria building project. Let us now act on those promises. God believes you when you make a promise. If you still would like to pledge or make a contribution please contact the church office. Bloemfontein 051-5252883 Pretoria 012-8072364
This week-end we saw close to 500 salvations during our celebration services. There were also 180 people saved in the prisons over the week-end. What a fantastic work God is doing through our live-link. I believe that we will have over 100 live-link venues in the next few years.
Just a reminder to all the ladies of our annual CRC Bling conference, this is an event not to be missed. We have brought our conferences back to their original purpose: to address real issues. I will be ministering on, “What Men Want”. It will be held on 14-15 May and tickets can be bought at the church office as well as Computicket.
Stay Blessed,
At Boshoff
